Sweet Daylight

It is with great sadness that I write today to say that my sweet Daylight left us and went to a better place. She is no longer in pain from her attack that occurred about a month ago. We did everything we could to try to save her, but after 2 doses of antibiotics and two trips to the vet, we discovered that the attack she suffered from by another animal caused nerve damage to her bladder that could not be corrected.

I am so grateful for the short time I had with her, the trust and bond we formed, and the wonderful opportunity she gave me to watch her mother and love her three babies unconditionally. She truly was one of the best mommas I have met, and she taught me so much about motherhood. She demonstrated so much patience and unconditional love for those babies. She truly was meant to be a mother. I am also so thankful that she got to see her precious baby, Moonlight, before she passed and was able to spend a few days with him in his safe and loving forever home.

Your gentle and sweet presence will always be remembered on our front porch. I will miss your loving greeting and soft purr every morning you gave me when I would come out to feed and pet you. You were such a gentle and sweet soul. We love and miss you precious Daylight.
