Painting with Shaving Cream

With summer in full swing these days, blogging about creative invitations to play for Noah has really diminished. We have also been busy lately being out and about in the city with Lisa and taking care of baby kittens and momma cat (she got spayed this week). Once summer comes to an end, I am sure I will start doing (and sharing) more learning activities and invitations to play.

I am happy to share a fun sensory art activity that we did do this week. It was so simple and fun, and all you need is some shaving cream, food coloring and a glass door or large mirror. I think this would be a fun summer activity for any age child (toddler to school age).

All I did for prep was squirt some shaving cream into a recycled muffin container and added a few drops of food coloring. Then, I let Noah go. I helped him mix up the colors in the shaving cream, and then he had a blast painting our two glass french doors on our screened in porch, the floor and himself.

To clean up, I hosed Noah down and used a wet wash cloth and wiped down the doors. My doors were so shiny afterwards!

Noah had so much fun with the shaving cream! Hope your little one(s) enjoy it too!
