Magnets are so much fun, and they can be such a great learning manipulative for children of all ages! This activity was so simple to set up, and Noah is still going back to this activity to play. I simply collected some different colored and shaped magnets and put them on a cookie sheet on the floor for Noah to discover. He had so much fun taking the magnets off the cookie sheet and "sticking" them back on the cookie sheet. He enjoyed arranging the magnets in different ways too.
This activity was also a great way to review some of Noah's colors. He is not really interested in sorting yet, but if your child is, you could have him or her sort the magnets by color, shape, etc and even make patterns using the magnets. Such a great learning manipulative! Enjoy!
