Christmas 2013

What a wonderful Christmas it was this year!! It was so much fun celebrating with a little one. Noah did not quite understand the concept of Santa this year besides the fact that he says "Ho, Ho, Ho!", but it was still fun celebrating with him! We started getting everything ready for Santa the evening of Christmas Eve. Noah wrote Santa his letter, and we set out cookies and milk for Santa and carrots for the reindeer. Once Noah was sound asleep, Santa arrived and filled the stockings and left presents under the tree.

Cole and I were so excited for Christmas morning to arrive! We started the morning with coffee and opening our stockings. Noah loved his stocking treasures!

Then we cooked a special Christmas breakfast. We made sausage with gluten and dairy-free french toast. It was so delicious and a new breakfast tradition for future Christmas mornings.

After breakfast, it was time to start opening presents. Noah had so much fun bringing presents to us and helping us open them. It did get a bit overwhelming for him with all of the wrappings and gifts, so we stopped half way through and took a little break and then finished presents a bit later.  His favorite gift was his play silks. Such a Waldorf boy!;)

Our morning was so much fun that it totally wore out our sweet boy. He was out and ready for his nap by 11am.

Noah had lots more excitement once he was up from his nap. I had a big pot of chill cooking on the stove for everyone to eat throughout the day. My dad arrived in the early afternoon with more gifts. Unfortunately, my mom was not able to come since she was sick. :( We def. missed her. Noah had fun opening more gifts and playing with more new toys!

Not too long after my dad left, Cole's parents arrived with more presents. Noah got to open a third round of presents. He loved his new wooden blocks!

It was such an exciting day for all of us! Noah was exhausted by the end of the day and was sound asleep for the night by 6:00pm. Cole and I were out early too. All in all, it was a wonderful Christmas and it was so magical celebrating with Noah!

The best present ever!
