Noah is 6 Weeks!

I cannot believe our sweet baby is now 6 weeks old! It feels like yesterday he was just born. How time sure does fly by way too fast! I do not have any stats to report with this post since our next pediatrician appointment isn't until he is 2 months old. I can def. say that he is getting heavier these days though, so we will see how much he actually weighs in a few weeks.

Noah's little personality is coming out more and more each day. He is full of smiles and giggles/gurgles now, esp in the morning during his morning playtime! See video below. We have also discovered that Noah is def. an "earthy" baby. He LOVES being outside, and if he is being a bit cranky, all we usually have to do is step outside and just like magic he is happy again (Well, unless he is hungry, and then Momma has to take over and feed him!) He also loves being naked, so we usually have time every day for him to play in just his diaper. It is so cute to see him kicking and playing with all of his little arm and leg rolls.... our chunky baby!

As far as his sleep goes, it has gotten much better! We def. had an overtired baby on our hands at 1 month. Now, we are respecting his sleep and are working on getting him on a schedule. He naps at least every 2 hours during the day which has helped decrease/eliminate his evening fussy time, and he is sleeping longer stretches at night now which is really nice (anywhere from 3-6 hours). He still isn't falling asleep until later (around 9 or 9:30pm), but we are hoping within the next few weeks that might change a bit. We also discovered that Noah prefers the sleep sac over the swaddle. We have been modifying our swaddling for awhile now because he would get so upset not having his hand(s) free, and then he starting getting upset not being able to move his legs much. In the sleep sac, he has both hands free and can wiggle his legs around. It is so much fun finding out what he likes and having a well-rested and happy baby!

In other exciting news, Noah went to his first playgroup! He slept through most of it, but I sure had a fun time hanging out with Sarah and Katie (the other 2 moms). Thanks again Sarah Mac for hosting! Noah and I can't wait to host at our house soon!

I think that is all the news for now...

Enjoy the recent pictures and videos!

  1. love it! he's growing like a weed! Enjoyed the video and glad to hear he likes being outside! A huge plus of having a baby this time of year - it's nice enough to enjoy outside time! Cooper loved his sleep sac too! :)
