Nursery Tour

Noah's nursery is complete and all ready for him! It was definitely a Labor of Love to say the least. I do not think more love, time and effort has been spent on one single room before, at least not a room that I have ever been apart of. I know for myself, planning, organizing and decorating Noah's nursery has been a big part of my pregnancy. I started planning it all out when I was only in the first trimester and now it is complete at 34 weeks pregnant. I get a little teary eyed when I walk into his nursery now (probably due to the pregnancy hormones), but something about being in his room takes my breath a bit away.

So many other people besides myself put lots of love and time into his room too. Momma Smith and Randy made all of the furniture, and every single piece is absolutely beautiful! Noah's crib in particular is a very special piece of furniture for Cole and me. It was the first crib ever built at Hartford House which has been open for over 20+ years, and Randy built it with so much love for us and Noah. I know it was not the easiest undertaking for him, so Cole and I are forever grateful. The picture of it below does not even capture half of it's beauty. I hope you will all be able to see it in person soon. This room would also not be complete without the love and support from Coleman. I have been in a crazy nesting phase for the past couple of weeks (yes, CRAZY!), and he has been there with me through it all. I know it was not easy for him, but he helped me through it and helped get the nursery all ready even when I was having crazy contractions and ordering him to do things like put up the decal. Thank you for being the most amazing husband and soon to be daddy.

Now, all we are missing is our little bundle of love, Noah.  We can't wait for him to arrive and see his nursery, but we need him to keep cooking for a few more weeks. I have been advised by my midwife, acupuncturist and my husband that I need to stay off of my feet and rest as much as I can for the next couple of weeks to help with all of my crazy Braxton Hicks contractions. We had a bit of a scare this past weekend with contractions coming way too close for comfort. I think Noah just got a bit eager to meet us and see his complete nursery (or Momma just did a bit too much once again!). Enjoy the nursery photos and I am off to take another nap!

Glider, tree decal and crib
Noah's bedding has trees and owls on it, and his mobile
has an owl, bird, squirrel and deer hanging from it.

Changing Table/Dresser
His lamp also has an owl and bird on it.

Noah's Bookshelf and Owl Picture
I think we have read almost every book on his
bookshelf already to him! Repetition here we come!

Noah's Small Pack n Play
This is where he will be sleeping for awhile once
we first bring him home.

  1. Noah's nursery is just beautiful! I love the photos, and especially the tree on the wall. I look forward to seeing the crib in person!
